morning and trek to Ghangaria, a small village located at an altitude of 9,800 feet. The trek is
approximately 14 km long and takes us through dense forests, gushing streams, and
picturesque meadows. Along the way, we will cross several small bridges and encounter
breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Ghangaria, we will check into our
guesthouse and rest for the night.
Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers
On the third day, we will finally reach our destination, the Valley of Flowers. We will start
early in the morning and trek to the valley, which is located at an altitude of 11,500 feet. The
trek is approximately 6 km long and takes us through a steep and narrow trail. As we reach
the valley, we will be greeted by a sea of flowers, with petals of every color imaginable. The
Himalayan blue poppy, Himalayan cobra lily, Himalayan bellflower, and Himalayan primrose
are just a few of the more than 500 types of flowers that may be found in the valley. We will
spend the day exploring the valley, taking in the sights and sounds of this magical place. We
will also have lunch in the valley and rest for a while before heading back to Ghangaria.
Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib
On the fourth day, we will trek to Hemkund Sahib, a Sikh pilgrimage site located at an
altitude of 14,200 feet. The trek is approximately 6 km long and takes us through a steep and
rocky terrain. The Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara is located beside a beautiful lake and is
surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Visitors can take a dip in the holy lake and seek
blessings at the Gurudwara. We will spend the night at Hemkund Sahib and rest for the day.
Day 5: Hemkund Sahib to Ghangaria
On the fifth day, we will trek back to Ghangaria. The trek is approximately 6 km long and
takes us through a steep and rocky terrain. Upon reaching Ghangaria, we will rest for the
night.
Day 6: Ghangaria to Govindghat
On the sixth day, we will trek back to Govindghat. The trek is approximately 14 km long and
takes us through dense forests and gushing streams. Upon reaching Govindghat, we will
check into our guesthouse and rest for the day.
Day 7: Govindghat to Haridwar
On the final day of our journey, we will drive back to Haridwar, bidding farewell to the
beautiful valley and the majestic Himalayas. Along the way, we will stop at the picturesque
town of Joshimath, which is famous for its ancient temples and scenic vistas. We will also
stop at Devprayag, a holy town located at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi
rivers. Upon reaching Haridwar, we will bid adieu to our fellow trekkers and head back to our
homes, with memories of a lifetime.
