One of the major components of a refrigerator is its fan. This is what allows the refrigerator to keep its contents fresh and cold. If your fan does not work, it can actually cause damage to the rest of the components in your refrigerator. Fans usually make some sort of whirring noise.
If you hear a whirring noise coming from your fridge, it is time to inspect the fan motor. This is an easy job that can be done in just a few minutes. Before you replace the fan motor, however, you’ll need to make sure that you’ve shut the doors to your fridge.
When you do this, the refrigerator will be cold enough to allow you to check the fan motor without it getting too cold.
