Head to Chembra Peak from the machine stand via the original machine.
Catch a machine to Meppadi.
In our case, Chembra peak entry was banned so we headed to Soochipara Falls via a bus. go us aroundRs. 200 for the bus. Accommodations possible. motorcars participating motors can also be taken to reach.
A fellow rubberneck and friend had suggested we go to Chulamalla, near chembra peak where we can enjoy a small cascade and take a dip in the pond below if we ask the jeep motorists to take us there. still we weren’t suitable to go as we skipped Chembra.
Soochipara Falls had an entry cost of Rs 50- 60 per person. still worth the experience as the cascades were in their full glory due to the showers.
On our way out, we used a shared bus back to reach Meppadi. From Meppadi we caught a machine to Kanthanpara falls. You can catch the original machine from Meppadi to Vaduvanchal and get down in between at Thinapuram or ask locals about which point to get down for the cascade.
From the machine drop point, you’ll have to walk and take a bus for 3 kms to reach the cascade.
The analogous entry figure of Rs 50 had to be paid formally again. generally you can take a dip and enjoy swimming under the cascade, still in showers the force is too strong and the entry to water was banned. We formally again came back to the machine drop point walking near Thimmapuram and had to catch a machine to Ambalavayal. For which we took the machine to Vaduvanchal and changed and sat in the machine to Ambalavayal.
We had a late lunch over there, before meeting our journey and camp companion from Space Travel( the group who organised camping and touring for us)
At 5PM, we met them and they arranged for the jeep to head over to our base camp. The base camp had a nice manor with amazing views of the municipalities below. We repaired ourselves and they served us coffee.
At 8 PM they served us regale and at 9 PM we started a 30 nanosecond journey to our camping point on the hill.
All the outfits including flash lights were handed to them.
We were guided by Ajmal( The representative and companion from the space trip group) to the hill named Ponmudi Kotta. It was a public place which can be penetrated by anyone, still since it was a night journey, we demanded the help of a companion to travel safely and set up our canopies.
We retired in our camps for the day, it was too damp to have a bonfire.
